CiLAB
Making circular textile services easier to access
CiLAB is a circular textile atelier in Mechelen where people repair, upcycle, swap and donate clothes. Staff found fabrics and tools by memory, and visitors couldn't easily see what was available before they came. My mentor asked me to design a service system to fix that.
I observed daily workflows, interviewed the team and mapped the service in a blueprint. The concept links the atelier to a digital inventory through numbered, QR-coded storage zones and an online catalogue. Staff tested three prototypes on real tasks.
